We love pets. We do like to be notified of pets so our cleaners are not leaving windows and doors open for them to escape. If you have special requests regarding your pets, or special circumstances we need to be aware of please let us know at time of booking.
We use the only warranty-approved method by carpet manufacturers, the Deep Hot Water Extraction Method or Steam Cleaning Method. Using pressure and steam from truck-mounted and portable systems we are able to extract harmful bacteria and dust trapped within your carpet fibers.
Our technicians are equipped with both portable and truck mounted hot water extraction systems. The appropriate system will be used based on the accessavailable for your home. Truck mount is not available for apartment and condo steam cleaning.
Dry time varies by carpet style and other factors such as ventilation and heat flow, however most carpets dry within 3-6 hours.

A light vacuum in high traffic areas does help but is not required. If needed our crew can vacuum prior to steam cleaning.
On average, it takes about 20 minutes per room to thoroughly cleanse. This time can vary depending on the condition of the carpet.
Yes. Our technicians will move all furniture that can be safely moved. However we will not move big-ticket items such as pianos, china cabinets, large mirrors, shelves, etc.
We cannot guarantee removal of all spots and stains. Our technicians are trained to assess bad areas and use a specialized solution to remove stubborn stains and spots. However, many substances cause permanent discoloration of carpet fibers and cannot be removed. In most cases, these bad spots are lightened and disinfected so that you can still enjoy your carpeted areas.
Regular cleaning with HEPA certified vacuum and tending to spot and spill immediately is generally a good a way to maintain your carpets. Furthermore, you can protect your carpets by employing our Carpet Stain Guard after steam cleaning. This protective seal will ensure your fibers will resist future oil and water based spills, allowing you to simply blot away spills.
No. Our professional cleaners are well equipped with the latest equipment and supplies available.
Not a problem. If you have any allergies or sensitivities to our cleaning product or scents, we will happily use the products provided by you.
Generally yes. Unless you have an issue with the employee or we have a scheduling issue we like to keep it consistent.
You do not need to be home, although of course you’re welcome to be. Many of our customers provide us with a key to their home and, when necessary, alarm codes. We keep your keys and access information extremely secure.
No. We do not have any type of contract. We do have discounts for daily, weekly, and yearly packages but you are free to cancel at any time.
No. Our employees are not available for direct hire. It takes a lot of work and effort to find and train the right person for the job. You can however get the same cleaner back as often as you would like.
No. We do not provide such services at this time.
Yes. Cleaners will wipe and clean all windows within reach. Please note outside of windows and glass doors will not be cleaned.
Yes. We do clean all types of rugs but the methods vary. While most rugs can be steam cleaned in home, specialty rugs made from fine materials such as silk may need to be picked up and taken to our warehouse for a more thorough clean.
Yes. From cloth microfiber to leather we clean it all. We use steam cleaning for upholstered furniture. Steam cleaning does not penetrate leather and alternative methods are used to clean your fine leather pieces.
While having your furniture professionally cleaned will impact the coating, dust and debris that builds up on the surface due to daily use is already causing this coating to deteriorate. To keep your upholstery protected ask our technicians to use Upholstery Stain Guard after the cleaning to add another layer of protection.
This really depends on the composition of the upholstery itself. Typically dry time is usually 4-8 hours.
Manufacturers recommend you get your rugs and upholstery professionally cleaned every 12-24 months.

What is the difference between my household leather cleaner and the one Toronto Steam n’ Clean uses?

Air duct cleaning is the method in which to clean the ducts and ventilation system that delivers heat and air conditioning to your home. Over time these vents andpipes become dusty and harbor potentially harmful contaminants. During our thorough cleanings, all ductwork passageways will be inspected and sanitized. To clean the supply, intake, and return ducts throughout your home, we use specialized blowers, vacuums, and brushes. We then clean any air handlers, registers, grilles, fans, motors, and coils in your HVAC system.
The EPA says if not properly installed, maintained, and operated, components of forced air systems may become contaminated with particles of dust, pollen or other debris. There are some companies that characterize themselves as air duct cleaners, yet the services they provide are limited to Dzvent cleaning.dz Rather than use compressed air and air agitators to clean the return and supply duct lines, in conjunction with cleaning inside the air vents, these companies will simply remove the grills/vents and clean inside the vents with a basic vacuum.
No. Our technicians are equipped with the highest quality and most state of the art duct cleaning equipment. All vacuum devices used in our process utilize HEPA (high efficiency particulate air). This filtration is rated at 99.97% at .3 microns—meaning there will be no mess left behind once the duct cleaning job is complete!
Yes. We typically have to cut two holes per system in order to clean it properly. One hole will be cut on the supply plenum as close to the furnace/air handler as possible. The second access is made on the return duct near the filter rack/section.
Dryer vent cleaning is an important yet simple solution to many common dryer problems. Here are a few ways to identify if you need a dryer vent cleaning service:

It will typically take 30–60 minutes to clean the tile & grout. This can vary based on a number of factors including the size of the tile, amount of soil in the grout lines, and room configuration. If you choose to have sealant added, it typically takes 2–3 hours to complete the entire process.
Grout is very porous, which means it will soak up any spills. With that said it is ideal to have your grout sealed to ensure a protective barrier that prevents any stains from soaking in.

Time can vary based on a number of factors including the type and size of the stones, amount of soil in the grout lines, room configuration and number of applications of polish or sealer that are applied. Typically you are looking at in between 45-60 minutes for a standard room.

It depends on what kind of material has been affected. For instance, carpet has a very short period of about two days before carpet pad needs to be removed. Drywall on the other hand usually takes about a week to establish. It is important to keep in mind that the drying process may take several days. Waiting may not give youenough time to dry a specific material within the time allotted.
My insurance company wants me to use one of their approved contractors. Will this be a problem if I don’t use their contractor?
It is your right to be able to choose your contractor. At Toronto Steam n’ Clean, we use the same billing processes and standards as most insurance companies and are accustomed to working with your company to reach an agreement.
